European MediaTech Investment Forum on 13-14 April 2011 in Barcelona, Spain

MEDIA DEALS is organising its next MediaTech Investment Forum in Barcelona, in cooperation with Barcelona Activa.

Participants

The event is tailored to enable 10 European early-stage MediaTech companies to more efficiently engage with 10 private equity financiers from across Europe, carefully selected within the Media Deals network to fit to companies´ profiles and needs for investment.

Companies seeking for investment and willing to grow internationally are thus able to find the right environment to meet up and brainstorm with MediaTech entrepreneurs from other European regions as well as to discuss investment and partnership opportunities with specialised sector financiers.

Selection criteria

  • MediaTech Companies (media technology and content, for example: film, TV, internet, video games, digital music, new distribution platforms, technology-related media, etc.)

  • Seeking European equity financiers

  • Strong entrepreneurship spirit

  • Previous significant seed financing (including grants) in the company

Application

Structure of the event

  • During the afternoon of the 13th, one-to-one sessions with experts will provide entrepreneurs with feedback to improve their presentations
  • On the morning of the 14th, entrepreneurs will present a test pitch
  • Before lunch on the 14th, an informal roundtable is organised to enable entrepreneurs and investors to discuss financing issues in the sector (how investors source projects and assess investment opportunities).
  • After lunch,  the actual pitches to the investors take place, each followed by a short Q&A.
